Sports Physiotherapy

Exercise Rehabilitation

All physiotherapists at this practice have a genuine interest in exercise prescription. The physiotherapists have many pre prepared programs with upgrades so your program is easy to follow. You will receive clear documented instructions with the programs.

There are key ingredients to correct exercise prescription including selecting appropriate exercises relevant to your problem(s), correct technique, suitable dosage and then timely upgrades to your program

Clinical Pilates

Members of the physiotherapy team have been highly trained professionally to teach Pilates. The lessons are taught in small groups to ensure you receive personalised/problem orientated programs.

Dry Needling

Dry needling is a skilled intervention that uses a thin sterile filiform needle to penetrate the skin and stimulate underlying myofascial trigger points, muscular, and connective tissues for the management of neuromusculoskeletal pain and movement impairments. Dry needling (DN) is a technique used to treat dysfunctions in skeletal muscle, fascia, and connective tissue, and, diminish persistent peripheral nociceptive input, and reduce or restore impairments of body structure and function leading to improved activity and participation.

Current scientific research evidence supports exercise as an integral treatment for prevention and treatment of chronic disease. The allied health profession,  Exercise Physiologists play an important role as physical activity and exercise specialists within healthcare.

What is an accredited Exercise Physiologist?
An Accredited Exercise Physiologist a 4-5 year university qualified allied health practitioner, who specialises in the delivery of evidence-based exercise, health and lifestyle programs for individuals with a broad range of chronic and complex medical conditions, post-acute injuries and co-morbidities. Exercise Physiologists will work in conjunction with your medical and health practitioners to achieve your personal health and rehabilitation.

Exercise Physiologists are Accredited by Exercise and Sports Science Australia, Registered with Medicare and Veterans Affairs, providers of Work Cover and MAIC and are eligible for private health rebates through your health fund.
