Beke Bertram-Toft
<<Beke is a qualified physiotherapist with a Bachelor of Science (University of Applied Sciences Osnabrueck, Germany) who practices Craniosacral Therapy (Upledger Institute Germany/USA) and Visceral Manipulation (Barral Institute Australia).
Her extensive experience practicing physiotherapy in private and hospital settings in Germany has led her to focus on a holistic and gentle approach. She has been practicing Craniosacral Therapy (CST) for 5 years, working with musculoskeletal, respiratory and neurological conditions. Beke also practices CST with children and holds a Blue Card.
She is led by the belief, that every symptom is your body communicating with you and would like to help you with the listening. Her excellent palpatory skills assist her in this attempt, looking at physical and emotional causes.
CST and Visceral Manipulation mainly deals with the soft and connective tissues called fasciae, connecting all parts of the body. Beke has been living in Australia since the beginning of 2008. She has been on the Sunshine Coast for the last 1½ years and is enjoying the coastal life style with her Australian husband and cattle dog.

CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY
About CST :
<<
Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle hands-on approach addressing the central nervous system, which plays a major role in your health and wellbeing. It focuses on releasing restrictions in the connective tissues of the body (fasciae) and the dura mater (accommodates the brain and spinal cord). It utilises a light touch (pressure of about 5g), which allows the practitioner to “blend” with the tissue in order to detect and treat restrictions, using the “Craniosacral Rhythm” as an indication. The craniosacral rhythm is created by fluid being produced inside the cranium (head), causing the head to slightly expand and contract as this fluid is being absorbed by the surrounding structures. This subtle motion is referred into the rest of the body.
A session ideally takes about 60 Minutes (for adults/ 30-45 Min. for children) in order to allow time for the body to process the changes and relax. The gentleness of this approach also works well with children.
Conditions include :
• Migraines and Headaches • Sinus problems • Chronic Neck and Back Pain
• Pregnancy Pain • Respiratory Conditions • Stress and Tension-Related Disorders
• Motor-Coordination Impairments • Infant and Childhood Disorders
• Brain and Spinal cord Injuries • Chronic Fatigue • Fibromyalgia • TMJ Syndrome
• Scoliosis • Central Nervous System Disorders • Learning Disabilities
• ADD/ ADHD • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder • Orthopaedic Problems
• Many other conditions
